Artist Opportunities

Forest Lake Washington County Library

We have an art rail system where we would hang art by a wire hooked to the back of the artwork. The artwork shouldn't be too large - no larger than 24" wide by 36" tall.  The gross weight should be less than 25 pounds. We do have a small, glass display case the we can hold 3-D art, but this can be discussed as needed.

The artist must sign a bailment form before art can be displayed. I can provide this form when someone is ready to display their artwork.

This is not an "art show" but just a community art display area in our library.  We like to change out our display every month. If someone chooses to display, their art would be here for a month.  We would like people who live in the Forest Lake area or the Forest Lake School District area.

Works should of course be appropriate for a public library to display. And we reserve the right to refuse to display.

We would like the artist to write a short artist statement about themselves or about their art work. We cannot display pricing or have art for sale in our library, but  the artist may provide a contact detail if they chose.

We look forward to seeing your artwork!
